Women's month is more than just a celebration of strength. It is also a time to be reminded to take care of ourselves and to recognize that as women we also experience difficulties that need to be acknowledged, understood and addressed. Too many of us are taught that we feel the way we feel because we are women. Some are raised to brush off their emotions and some are shut down at the mention of the word depression. Your emotions are real and when not adequately taken care of they affect your mind, your emotions, your health and also the people around you.
